does anyone remember a stn called radio free manchester? it used to broadcast either on sat or sunday afternoon in the mid 70s.it also had a brown street manchester address.ive got a short recording somewhere :D

I don't know if it was the same one, but there was a RFM operating in the early 80's. They started off with one of my transmitters.

Hi Les / Andy,

Radio Free Manchester from the early 80's, I only have dim memories of this one. I never actually heard it live on the air, but remember reading about it in various correspondences and free radio newsletters etc. It was on FM I think, but I also seem to remember medium wave being mentioned, I think it was 253 metres. ;)
